Newark Evening News

Founded in 1883 by Wallace Scudder. It starting with one edition of about 3,000 copies. Once New Jersey's largest newspaper, it folded in 1972. 1963 saw it ranked #20 in the United States by circulation. In 1946, the Newark Evening News began Sunday operations when the Newark Sunday Call ceased publication.
